Before your tan

Q: How should I prep for my spray tan?
A: Exfoliate your entire body 24 hours before your appointment -- focus on dry areas like elbows, knees, and ankles. Avoid lotions, deodorant, makeup, SPF, perfume, and oils the day of your spray as these can affect your tan.

Q: Should I shave before or after my spray tan?
A: Shave any unwanted hair at least 24 hours before your tan. Shaving right after can remove your color early!

Q: What should I wear during my tan?
A: Whatever you're comfortable in! Most clients go topless or wear dark underwear/swimsuit bottoms. (Disposable options are available)

Q: Can I get a spray tan if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
A: Yes! Spray tanning is considered safe since DHA (the ingredient that tans your skin) only reacts with the top layer. Just let your artist know so extra care can be taken for comfort.

AFTER YOUR TAN

Q: How long should I wait to shower?
A: Depending on your solution, you'll rinse between 2-8 hours after your tan. I'll let you know your specific rinse time before I leave!

Q: Can I work out, sweat, or get wet after my tan?
A: Wait until after your first rinse! Sweating or getting wet early can cause streaks or uneven color.

Q: Will my tan rub off on clothes or sheets?
A: A small amount of transfer is normal before your first rinse. Wear loose, dark clothing for best results.
​
Q: How long will my tan last?
A: About 7-10 days with proper care. Moisturize daily and avoid long hot showers, harsh soaps, and exfoliating until it's time for your next tan!

A: Yes! Vixen Glow Co. is a mobile spray tanning service -- we bring the tan right to your door. Perfect for parties, girls' nights, or solo sessions.

Q: Can I book a tanning party or event?
A: Absolutely! We offer group tans, bridal parties, and event packages with champagne and charcuterie add-ons. Complete the form on the Home page for a quote!

Q: What kind of solution do you use?
A: We have both Glazed Sunless and NUDA Sunless solutions!
